TFN offers many learning opportunities.  There is something for everyone, from first-time computer users to experienced technology professionals.

Courses
The course catalog lists TFN courses that last several weeks and that have a fixed syllabus regardless of instructor.  You must enrol into a class in advance.
Lectures
The lecture schedule lists single-evening lectures organized by TFN.  Sometimes these are repeated, but their content changes with the speaker.  To attend, you must RSVP in advance.
On the job learning, while volunteering
TFN volunteers learn on the job, with the help of other TFN volunteers.  Some tasks require computer skills, some tasks don't.  Regardless of the task you choose, you can learn a lot about the Internet and about computers in general.
Mentoring
Where appropriate, TFN arranges one-on-one teaching and mentoring relationships between volunteers.
Teach-ins
Sometimes we have impromptu teach-ins, usually after hours, about issues encountered that day.

Teachers wanted!

Suggestions

If there is a topic which you would like to see covered by a TFN course or lecture, please tell the TFN office.  Your suggestions strongly influence TFN's focus and course development.
