TFN offers many learning opportunities. There is something for everyone,
from first-time computer users to experienced technology professionals.
- Courses
- The course catalog lists TFN courses that last several weeks and that
have a fixed syllabus regardless of instructor. You must enrol into
a class in advance.
- Lectures
- The lecture schedule lists single-evening lectures organized by TFN.
Sometimes these are repeated, but their content changes with the
speaker. To attend, you must RSVP in advance.
- On the job learning, while volunteering
- TFN volunteers learn on the job, with the help of other TFN volunteers.
Some tasks require computer skills, some tasks don't. Regardless of
the task you choose, you can learn a lot about the Internet and about
computers in general.
- Mentoring
- Where appropriate, TFN arranges one-on-one teaching and mentoring
relationships between volunteers.
- Teach-ins
- Sometimes we have impromptu teach-ins, usually after hours, about
issues encountered that day.

Suggestions
If there is a topic which you would like to see covered by a TFN course or
lecture, please tell the TFN office. Your suggestions strongly influence
TFN's focus and course development.
